Day 2: Shanghai -Suzhou (Coach) + Suzhou Day Tour - Shanghai (Coach)

Take a coach from Shanghai to Suzhou (approximately 100 km/1.5-2 hours).

Suzhou attractions: Visit Humble Administrator's Garden (one of China’s Four Great Classical Gardens, a UNESCO World Heritage Site) and Tiger Hill (famous for its ancient pagoda and scenic landscapes).

Afternoon: Explore Pingjiang Road (a well-preserved ancient street with traditional gardens, canals, and local snacks).

Evening: Take a coach back to Shanghai (approximately 100 km/1.5-2 hours) and check into the hotel.

Day 3: Shanghai - Yichang (Flight) + Gezhouba Dam + Yichang Museum + Cruise Embarkation
Take a flight from Shanghai to Yichang (approximately 2.5 hours; specific flight to be confirmed based on booking).

After arrival, visit Gezhouba Dam (if time permits) — one of China’s key water conservancy projects, where you can watch ships navigate the ship locks and learn about its flood control and power generation functions.

Visit Yichang Museum (if time permits), a comprehensive venue showcasing Yichang’s history, culture, and Yangtze River-related relics such as ancient pottery and local folk artifacts.

Afternoon/evening: Transfer to the cruise ship (coach transfer, approximately 20 km/30-40 minutes from downtown Yichang) and board for the upstream journey.

Days 4-7: Yangtze River Upstream Cruise (4 Nights/5 Days) + Chongqing Sightseeing

Sail upstream along the Yangtze River, passing iconic scenic spots including the Three Gorges (Qutang Gorge, Wu Gorge, Xiling Gorge). Enjoy the river’s natural landscapes and cultural landmarks during shore excursions (refer to previously provided documents for details).

Disembark in Chongqing (cruise terminal to downtown Chongqing: approximately 30 km/45-60 minutes by coach).

Visit Chongqing Great Hall of the People — a landmark blending traditional Chinese and modern architecture, serving as a venue for important meetings and cultural events.

Explore Ciqikou Ancient Town, a well-preserved 1,000-year-old town lined with traditional wooden houses, local snack shops, and handicraft stores.

Day 8: Chongqing - Dazu Rock Carvings Tour

Take a coach from Chongqing to Dazu Rock Carvings (approximately 120 km/2-2.5 hours).

Visit the Dazu Rock Carvings, a UNESCO World Heritage Site featuring thousands of exquisite Buddhist stone carvings from the Tang and Song dynasties, renowned for their superb craftsmanship and profound religious significance.

Afternoon: Take a coach back to Chongqing (approximately 120 km/2-2.5 hours).

Day 9: Chongqing - Chengdu (Bullet Train) + Chengdu Panda Base + People’s Park Tea Experience

After arrival, transfer to Chengdu Panda Base by coach (approximately 15 km/30-40 minutes).

Day 10: Chengdu - Leshan Giant Buddha Tour

Visit the Leshan Giant Buddha, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the world’s largest stone Buddha statues (71 meters tall). Carved into a cliff face overlooking the confluence of three rivers, it impresses with its grand scale and historical value.

Leshan Giant Buddha

 

Day 11: Chengdu - Nanchang (Flight) + Tengwang Pavilion (Optional when time permits) + Transfer to Wangxian Valley

Wangxian Valley

 

 

Day 12: Wangxian Valley - Shangrao Station (Coach) + Shangrao - Tongxiang (High-Speed Train) + Wuzhen Transfer & Overnight

Afternoon: Take a coach from Wangxian Valley to Shangrao Station (approximately 80 km/1.5-2 hours).

Take a high-speed train from Shangrao to Tongxiang (recommended: G1384 departs Shangrao at 14:55, arrives Tongxiang at 16:51; G1616 departs Shangrao at 16:57, arrives Tongxiang at 18:46; subject to ticket availability).

Upon arrival at Tongxiang Station, transfer to Wuzhen by coach (approximately 30 km/40-60 minutes).

Brief intro to Wuzhen: A 1,300-year-old well-preserved water town divided into Dongzha and Xizha. Crisscrossing rivers, ancient stone bridges, and traditional wooden dwellings highlight the unique charm of Jiangnan water town culture.

Day 13: Wuzhen Morning Tour + Wuzhen - Hangzhou (Coach) + Lingyin Temple Visit

Morning: Explore Wuzhen’s ancient streets, canals, and cultural attractions.

Afternoon: Take a coach from Wuzhen to Hangzhou (approximately 80 km/1.5-2 hours).

Visit Lingyin Temple — one of China’s oldest and most renowned Buddhist temples, founded in the Eastern Jin Dynasty. Nestled against Lingyin Mountain, it boasts ancient pagodas, exquisite Buddha statues, and serene landscapes, being a sacred site for believers and a famous cultural relic.

Day 14: West Lake Morning Tour 

Morning: Tour around West Lake, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Hangzhou’s iconic scenic spot. Surrounded by mountains and dotted with islands, causeways, and pagodas, it is celebrated for its poetic natural beauty and rich cultural legends (e.g., the Legend of White Snake).

Overnight either in Hangzhou Or in Shangahi.

West Lake

 

Day 15 Transfer to Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport by coach (approximately 30 km/40-60 minutes) OR to Shanghai airport for the onward home flight.
