I’m Tom, or Huang Guangrui. I was born on March 19, 1982 in a village called Liangshui in Jianshi County, Hubei province. My ancestors migrated from Hunan Province during the Ming Dynasty and had settled there as farmers.
My childhood was happy even thought my family members kept a strict watch over me.
After graduated from my university in Beijing, I have being working as an English tour guide for Top China Tour. Some of my friends once asked me why I chose tour guide as my career, my reply was simple: I love it. Not only I love my country with such a long history and a splendid culture; but also the friendly and hard-working people and the green mountains and the blue waters. I want to tell what I know about my country to those distinguished guests came from all over the world.
Talking about hobbies, I like swimming, dancing, singing, reading and playing Chinese chess.
“420” and “spicy boy” are my two nicknames. How did I get the first nickname is a secret, you may fire your imagination; for the second one, the reason is simple, I like spicy food very much. Spicy hot-pot, Pockmarked Woman’s Bean Curd are my favorite dishes.
