Nanputuo Temple is a famous Buddhist temple in Xiamen, it was founded in the Tang dynasty and has embodied the history and culture of southeast China over centuries.

Jimei is the hometown of Mr. Tan Kah-Kee, a reputed overseas Chinese leader who devoted himself wholly to education. In this small hamlet, he built 12 different kinds of schools.

Tulou in Fujian is the representative and best-preserved examples of the Tulou in the regions of south-eastern China.
