Big Wild Goose Pagoda

Big Wild Goose Pagoda is located in the southern of Xi'an, 4 km far from citycenter. The scenic spot is composed of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, theDaci'en Temple, and the Music Fountain Square of Big Wild Goose Pagodawhich is the largest musical fountain in Asia on the North Square. The pagodawas originally built to be five-storey in 652 AD during the Tang Dynasty in abid to consecrate the Buddha figures, sariras and Sanskrit sutras that MasterXuanzang carried from India in the 7th century. First built to a height of 60meters with five stories, and it is now 64.5 meters high with an additional twostories. As a well-known historic site and the landmark of the city, the Big WildGoose Pagoda is drawn on the city emblem, and welcoming innumerabledomestic and international travelers to Xi'an.
