Xian Ancient City Wall

Xian Ancient City Wall is one of the most complete city walls that survivedthrough China's long history. The massive walls measure 12m high and 16mwide at the base and have a 13.74 km circumference. Built during the Tangdynasty (618 - 907 AD) the foundations of Xian City Wall in fact date back tothe Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644 AD). The existing wall was built in MingDynasty in 1370AD, experienced many repairs during Ming and Qing Dynasty.It is an imposing piece of architecture. The city wall is surrounded by a moat,you will be shocked by enjoying a good view of the whole city and the antiquebeauty of ancient architectures. In the evening, the Wall is decorated withChinese red lanterns, which light up it at night. A walking tour on the city wallwill be very delightful.
