Introduction: The Songtsam Hotel (Xianggelila Songzan Lvgu Jiudian) is a Tibetan-style hotel with a good location in Shangri-La sitting next door to Ganden Sumtseling Monastery, a Tibetan Buddhist monastery. The quiet environment of this Tibetan hotel offers beautiful vistas of lakes, mountains, temples and Tibetan village life. This hotel houses 23 hardwood-floored guestrooms equipped with humidifiers and independent bathrooms. Tibetan specialties are available for guests to try in the hotel restaurant including yak yoghurt for breakfast, yak meat and highland barely wine. Room service is also available.
