Hebei Province, abbreviated as 'Ji', with its capital in Shijiazhuang, located in the North China Plain, surrounding the capital Beijing, bordering Tianjin to the east and close to the Bohai Sea, adjacent to Shandong and Henan provinces in the southeast and south, leaning against the Taihang Mountains and neighboring Shanxi to the west, bordering Inner Mongolia to the northwest and north, and bordering Liaoning to the northeast, with a total area of 188,800 square kilometers.As of the end of 2019, Hebei Province has 11 prefecture-level cities, with a total of 47 urban districts, 20 county-level cities, 94 counties, and 6 autonomous counties, with a permanent population of 75.9197 million. Hebei Province has many famous attractions, such as the Summer Resort in Chengde, which was the place where the emperors of the Qing Dynasty spent their summers and handled state affairs, is a World Heritage Site, and is one of China's four famous gardens; the Mulan Paddock was once the site where the emperors of the Qing Dynasty held the Mulan Autumn Hunt; Shanhaiguan, also known as the First Pass Under Heaven, is one of the northeastern passes of the Great Wall of Ming.
