Huangyao

Huangyao is a famous town with a history of about 900 years, lying in the mortheast of Zhaoping County, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The village covers about 3.6 square kilometers. Huangyao Ancient Town was built in the Wanli Period during the Ming Dynasty.

It reached its heyday in the reign of Emperor Qianlong during the middle Qing Dynasty. The first name of the families living in the town are mainly Huang and Yao, hence the name of the ancient town. In this town you can find mountains with caves, temples, ancestor hills, old trees, tables and pavilions with ancient style. At each corner of the town, you can see the typical scene of Chinese old town.
