The East Gate Tower of Fenghuang Ancient City
The East Gate Tower of Fenghuang Ancient City, also named "Shengheng Gate". It is one of the four gates of Fenghuang. It is located in the east of Fenghuang Ancient City in Hunan province. It was built in 1715 in the fifty-fourth year of the reign of Emperor Kangxi. The style of the tower is modeled after the Qianmen Gate in Beijing. The gate is 3.5 meters wide and 4 meters high. Every year, it attracts numerous visitors. The visiting of East Gate Tower is usually arranged together with Fenghuang Ancient Town as a one-day tour.
