Dali City is the capital of the Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture, located in the western part of Yunnan Province, about 350 kilometers from Kunming, covering an area of 1,468 square kilometers, with a total population of 680,000. It is one of the earliest cultural origins in Yunnan and once created the brilliant Dali Kingdom. This place was also the capital of the ancient Nanzhao Kingdom and the Dali Kingdom, serving as the political, economic, and cultural center of ancient Yunnan for over five hundred years.
