Information

Fubo Mountain is located in the northeast of Guilin city, by the banks of the Li River. It is a solitary peak that leans against the water, half resting on land and half extending into the river, blocking the turbulent waves, earning the beautiful title of "Fubo Scenic Spot." Every spring and summer, the river water rises violently, and the mountain foot restrains the rushing waves, causing the river water to swirl back, demonstrating the power to subdue the waves. During the Han Dynasty, General Ma Yuan of Fubo passed through this area during his southern expedition, hence the name. Fubo Mountain boasts beautiful scenery and unique rock caves. On the east side of the mountain are the riverside corridor, Fubo Tea House, and the Listening to the Waves Pavilion built against the cliff. On the west side, there are stone steps leading up the mountain, reaching the Half-Mountain Pavilion and the summit, where one can enjoy a panoramic view of Guilin's picturesque water and mountain scenery. In the Tang Dynasty, there was a court for General Fubo built on the mountain. Currently, there are famous sites such as Guishui Pavilion, Listening to the Waves Pavilion, Half-Mountain Pavilion, Huan Pearl Cave, Mi Fu's self-portrait, Sword Testing Stone, Coral Rock, and Thousand Buddha Rock, as well as a "Thousand-Person Pot" weighing over 1000 kilograms and a large bell weighing more than 2700 kilograms, cast by the daughter of the Qing Dynasty's King Kong Youde in memory of her father. Fubo Mountain Park consists of multi-level mountain gardens, with all attractions and cultural relics concentrated within an area of less than 10,000 square meters, becoming a unique miniature of Guilin's landscape. The recommended visiting time is around 2 hours.
