Day 2 Shanghai (B/L)

Tour of the Jade Buddha Temple, the Yuyuan Garden and its nearby bazaars, lunch in a local restaurant, then have an hour Cruise on Huangpujiang River , afterwards enjoy a relaxing stroll along the Bund. Evening enjoy Acrobatic Show.

Day 3 Shanghai-Zhangjiajie by flight (B/L)

Morning visit a nearby little town - Zhujiajiao Water Town to enjoy a short boat ride along the zigzag rivers and bridges if weather permits, evening flight to Zhangjiajie (appr. 2 hours), upon arrival, transfer to the hotel.

1 night at Huatian Hotel Zhangjiajie or similar one

Day 4 Zhangjiajie (B/L)

Morning tour to the Tianmen Mountain, which is the highest mountain in Zhangjiajie, and experience a Glass Skywalk called “Coiled Dragon Cliff” - the newest skywalk here; after lunch, take a boat ride in the Baofeng Lake, the water of the lake is absolutely clean and without pollution as it is an alpinelake; then transfer to your hotel in Wulingyuan area.

2 nights at Qinghe Jinjiang Zhangjiajie or similar one

Day 5 Zhangjiajie (B/L)

Morning pay a visit to the Tianzi Mountain, famed as the king of the peakforest, which gives a sense of mystery as if in a fairyland; after lunch in a local restaurant, continue your tour to Yuanjiajie, situated in the north of Zhangjaijie National Forest Park, it has the proto type of the Hallelujah Mountain in the film Avatar; here a multitude of peaks arise from the deep valley, making their appearance all of a sudden; then finish today’s tour to the Ten-Mile Gallery, with a stream flowing through, and the peaks on both sides of the valley shape, it forms amazing natural sculptures.

Zhangjiajie National Forest Park

Day 6 Zhangjiajie-Kunming by flight (B/L)

Today take the cable car to the top of the Yellow Stone Village, you will see several thousand quartz sandstone peaks rising a bruptly from the ground, a very gorgeous site; followed by a explore to the famous Golden Whip Brook, it covers a distance of 7.5km winding across mountains and valleys; then transfer to airport for a flight to Kunming, upon arrival, transfer to the hotel for an overnight.

Day 7 Kunming-Lhasa by flight (B)

Morning flight to Lhasa (appr. 3 hours), upon arrival, meet your Tibetan guide at the airport and transfer to the city; time to settle in the hotel and take the advantage of this opportunity to adapt yourself to the altitude.

Day 8 Lhasa (B/L)

Visit the Barkhor Street, an ancient round road surrounding the Jokhang Temple; located in the center of old quarter of Lhasa city, the Jokhang Temple is the site where the grand ceremony of deciding the next Panchen Lama (the lama next in rank to the Dalai Lama) is held; afternoon tour of the Drepung Monastery, with the support of plutocrats, it developedas the richest of its kind of Gelugpa and became the mother temple of Dalai Lamas.

Day 9 Lhasa (B/L)

Morning tour of the Potala Palace, regarded as landmark and the symbol of Tibet, it is the highest palace and honored as the most beautiful building in the world due to its spectacular architecture style, 3 hours’visit inlabyrinth of staircases, apartments, ceremonial rooms and chapels; then followed by a visit to the Norbulingka, and the Sera Monastery (closed on Sunday) where the monks “daily debates” taking places.
