Yichang Fangweng Restaurant Interior
Fangweng Restaurant is located inside a unique cave directly opposite the San You Dong in Yichang City, 7 kilometers from the city center. It is named after the Southern Song poet Lu You (also known as Fangweng), who once came here to drink, taste tea, and compose poetry. The hotel is built around the mountain and cave, with winding paths leading to secluded areas. The scenery at the gorge captures the grandeur of the Yangtze River Three Gorges, while the beauty of the stalactites in the cave is enchanting, making it hard to leave. The hotel currently has 9 luxurious private rooms and a back cave, accommodating 400 people for dining at the same time. This restaurant has also been awarded as one of the world's top nine cave restaurants. Entering the restaurant feels like entering a cave, with a row of antique-style luxurious private rooms built around the mountain and cave, sitting by the river, tasting the rich fish from the Yangtze River and enjoying local dishes from the Three Gorges.
