Day 1 Lanzhou Arrival (No Meal)
Meet your guide at the airport, then transfer to the hotel in Lanzhou, the capital of Gansu Province, enjoy rest of the day at leisure.
1 night at Lanzhou Sunshine Hotel or similar one
Day 2 Lanzhou-Xiahe (B/L)
Morning visit the Gansu Provincial Museum (closed on Monday), then transfer to Xiahe (appr. 4 hours), a town populated largely by the ethnic Tibetans, Hui people and Han Chinese; upon arrival, visit the Sangke Grassland before transferring to the hotel.
1 night at Xiahe Baoma Hotel or similar one
Day 3 Xiahe-Lanzhou (B/L)
Morning visit the Labrang Monastery, one of the six greatest monasteries of Gelupa sect of Tibetan Buddhism. It is the greatest university of its kind all over the world. After the vist, transfer back to Lanzhouin the afternoon.
1 night at Lanzhou Sunshine Hotel or similar one
Day 4 Lanzhou-Zhangye (B/D)
Morning train to Zhangye (appr. 4.5 hours), visit the Giant Buddha Temple, with a history of over 900 years and the largest indoor sleeping clay Buddha, it is a good place to admire delicate painting sculpture, ancient buildings and religious art, afterwards, transfer to the hotel.
1 night at Zhangye Hotel or similar one
Day 5 Zhangye-Jiayuguan (B/L)
Today visit the Zhangye Danxia National Geological Park well-known as one of the Top 10 Geographical Wonders of the World, with the unusual shapes and gorgeous colors, you will not only enjoy the beauty of the Rainbow Mountain, but the Binggou Danxia Landform; then take a high-speed train to Jiayuguan (appr. 2 hours), upon arrival, transfer to the hotel.
2 nights at Jiayuguan Sunshine Hotel or similar one
Day 6 Jianyuguan (B/L)
Today visit the Jiayuguan Pass, built with rammed earth, making yellow its dominant hue and helping the Pass blend harmoniously with the surrounding desert; followed by a tour of the Great Wall Museum (closed on Monday), the Hanging Great Wall, and the Tomb of Wei and Jin Periods.

Day 7 Jiayuguan-Dunhuang (B/L)
Morning transfer to Dunhuang (appr. 4 hours), enjoy a visit to the Yulin Grottoes, one of the representatives of Dunhuang Caves, on the way to your hotel, evening visit the Shazhou Night Market to enjoy local food and dinner on your own.
3 nights at Silk Road Dunhuang Hotel or similar one
Day 8 Dunhuang (B/L)
Morning visit the Mogao Grottoes, regarded as the largest Buddhist cave with the most abundant cultural relics in the world, it is well known for a great number of colorful murals and a variety of vivid statues; afternoon visit the Mingsha Sand Dunes and Crescent Lake, this is a popular attraction in Dunhuang to explore stunning desert scenery and take part in exciting sand dunes activities, such as a Camel Ride to admire the nearby environment.
Day 9 Dunhuang (B/L)
Morning transfer to the Yadan Geological Park, located to the northwest of Dunhuang in the middle of the awesome zone of the Gobi Desert; en-route, you will pass by the Yumen Pass and have a short visit of the Ancient Military Station; then transfer back to your hotel.
Day 10 Dunhuang-Beijing Departure (B)
Transfer to the airport for you flight back to Beijing.
