Day 1 Beijing Arrival (No Meal)

Meet and transfer to your hotel which is a Traditional Courtyard House, situated in an ancient Hutong Area (an old district of narrow streets), enjoy a leisure time in the afternoon.

Day 2 Beijing (B/L)

Morning visit to the Tian'anmen Square and the Forbidden City (closed on Monday), where used to be the Chinese imperial palace for the emperors and their families in mid-Ming and Qing Dynasties, after lunch, tour of the Summer Palace, an imperial garden in the old time.

Day 3 Beijing (B/L)

Early morning tour to the Temple of Heaven and enjoy a Taiji practice with the locals in the park, then continue your trip to the world famous Mutianyu Great Wall, which is 73km far from the city center, then back to the city in the late afternoon.

Day 4 Beijing–Pingyao (B)

Morning take a high-speed train to Pingyao (appr. 4 hours), upon arrival, transfer to your hotel which is a charming Boutique Hotel housed in the former home of a Qing dynasty-era silk merchant. The beautifully decorated rooms show both modern art works and local antiques.

2 nights at Jing's Residence or similar one

Day 5 Pingyao (B/L)

Guided tour of the Ancient Town of Pingyao. The town boasts a brilliant past with rich culture deposits. You will see the ancient-style buildings with similar decorations, such as house eaves, stone stairs, huge plaques, arches and courtyard walls lined on the narrow streets.

Day 6 Pingyao–Xi'an (B)

Morning take a high-speed train to Xi'an (appr. 3 hours), here is the former Silk Road trading city retaining some of its historic character, and the city has been laid out in a grid pattern within huge perimeter walls. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

2 nights at Sofitel Renmin Square or similar one

Day 7 Xi'an (B/L/D)

Morning tour of the Terracotta Warriors & Horses, after lunch, return to the city and pay a visit to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and stroll along the Muslim Quarter. Evening enjoy Tang Dynasty Show with Dumpling Dinner.

Day 8 Xi'an-Shanghai (B)

Fly to Shanghai, then transfer to your hotel which is located at the Gateway to the Historic Xintiandi District in the heart of the former French Concession, an area notable for its 19th-century shikumen ('stone gate') buildings, many of those have been converted into galleries, cafes and restaurants.

Day 9 Shanghai (B)

Tour of the Jade Buddha Temple, and the Yuyuan Garden and its nearby bazaars, lunch in a local restaurant, then have an hour Cruise on Huangpujiang River, afterwards enjoy a relaxing stroll along the Bund.

Day 10 Shanghai-Wuyuan (B)

Morning take a high-speed train to Wuyuan (appr. 3.5 hours), starting with a short journey by car to the tiny village of Yan, a protected 900-year-old settlement. Transfer to your hotel which is a Boutique Property that has been renovated from a rare 300-year-old courtyard mansion and lovingly restored using traditional architecture techniques and retaining many original features.

Day 11 Wuyuan (B)

Explore the surrounding countryside of Wuyuan via a number of walking trails to refresh one's spirit at the breathtaking scenery. Wuyuan is actually the birth place of Huizhou Culture and is famous all over the world for its unique natural scenic spots and culture relics as well as its specialties such as tea and rape flowers. Wuyuan county has a good reputation as one of the top 10 sacred places for photographers in China.
