The Feilai Temple

Feilai Temple  is located around 10 kilometers away from Deqen County,Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province. It was originally built in1614 during Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) with a history of 385 years. FeilaiTemple covers 1500 square meters, was built according to the mountainterrain with architecture at random discretion. The whole temple is consists ofZisun Hall, the Hall of God, Haichao, Liangxiang Hall, Liang’er Hall, and SipeiHall. The temple is a combination of three religions- Buddhism, Taoism, andConfucianism. There is a legend that the monastery was built by a SakyamuniBuddha who flew here from Tibet. Feilai Temple is a place for Tibetans to payhomage to the sacred mountains. The monastery also serves as a center formany of the activities and festivals held by local Buddhists. The best time tovisit this temple is from January to May. It takes about 3-4 hours for thisvisiting.
