Xiangcheng

Xiangcheng County is under the jurisdiction of Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan Province. It is located in the western part of Sichuan Province, on the southeastern edge of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, and lies in the southwestern corner of Ganzi Prefecture, in the middle northern section of the Hengduan Mountains.

It borders Daocheng County to the east, Litang County to the north, Batang County and Derong County to the west, and Shangri-La City in Yunnan Province to the south. The county is 68.6 kilometers wide from east to west and 120.7 kilometers long from north to south. It is 488 kilometers from the prefectural capital of Kangding, 860 kilometers from Chengdu, and 930 kilometers from Kunming in Yunnan. The area of the jurisdiction is 5,016 square kilometers, with a total population of 29,826 people. Here, in addition to the simple folk customs, there are also beautiful tourism resources. For example, the main attractions include Bam Mountain, the Bam Seven Lakes Scenic Area, the Maxiong Gorge, and the Ranwu Township Hot Springs.
