Located 7 kilometers southwest of Emei City in Sichuan Province, it is one of the four major Buddhist mountains in China. Covering an area of 154 square kilometers, the main peak, Wanfoding, has an elevation of 3099 meters. From the foot of the mountain to the summit, there are cascading waterfalls and clear springs along the way, with a serene landscape that has been praised since ancient times as "Emei is the most beautiful under heaven." To climb Emei Mountain, you can start from Baoguo Temple, with two routes: the left route goes through Fuhu Temple, Qingyin Pavilion, Hongchunping, Xianfeng Temple, and Xixiang Pool to the Golden Summit; the right route goes through Longmen Cave, Bailong Cave, Wannian Temple, and Huayan Peak to the Golden Summit. Every morning, looking down from the Golden Summit, one can see clouds and mist like the sea, sometimes rolling like waves, and sometimes calm and peaceful, truly ever-changing and wonderfully unique. On clear nights without moonlight, sometimes there are flickering lights, bright and dim, varying in size, which is the Emei wonder - the Divine Lamp. The most magical phenomenon is the "Buddha's Light"; whenever the wind is calm and the sun is bright, after two or three o'clock in the afternoon, looking down from the Shesheng Rock on the Golden Summit, one can sometimes see colorful halos floating in the clouds, with one's own shadow placed within the halo, moving with the person, never losing sight of each other. No matter how many people there are, what people see is ultimately their own shadow. Emei Mountain is suitable for tourism all year round, with a recommended visiting time of 1-2 days.
