Chengdu People's Park was originally named Shaocheng Park and was established in 1911. It is located on Shaocheng Road, Citang Street in the urban area of Chengdu, covering an area of 112,639 square meters. It is the largest open scenic historical park in the bustling city center and is a favorite spot for the people of Chengdu. The park features famous tourist attractions such as Jingshui Creek, Goldfish Island, and the Bonsai Garden. Every year, chrysanthemum and lotus flower exhibitions are held here, and the park is usually free to enter, but tickets are required during flower exhibition periods. Every day, especially on holidays, you will see many locals singing and dancing together in different groups; just follow the sound, and you can find them. There are also some people practicing calligraphy with water on the floor around the monument in the northwest corner of the park. The park has many teahouses, making it one of the favorite places for locals to enjoy tea. Here, you can experience the true leisurely lifestyle of the local people.
