Jingshan Park

Jingshan Park is located in Xicheng District, one of the only hills in the centralof Beijing, immediately north of the Forbidden City on the central axis ofBeijing with an area of 230,000 square meters (about 57 acres). It was firstbuilt   in   1179   specially   for   the   royal   families   to   make   sacrifices   to   theancestors. Jingshan Park is famous for its peonies and ancient trees. It is bestto appreciate over 200 varieties of peonies inside the park from late April tomid-May. Jingshan park is also a popular place for elderly folks to dance, singand attend some cultural activities. Being one of the hottest scenic spots, itdraws more and more tourists. Among the five pavilions, the Wanchun Pavilionis a perfect place to appreciate the full view of the city. You could get a fullyclear view of Forbidden City and enjoy a best sunset of whole Beijing City in afine day. 1-2 hours will be good enough for a visit in this Park.
